Week 4

My group and I have decided to work on separate stories. Our individual stories will be related to one another but we will write three different stories. This will work out so much better because we all have different ideas that we all want them to be incorporated. I have a couple of ideas on what I want to write about but I'm still not sure on whether or not the book will be written in chapters, like the Junie B. Jones books, or like a children's book.

Week 3

So far our 20% project is coming along pretty well. We all have some great ideas but all that is missing is actually deciding on one thing. We agree on a variety of things but we just need to pick something so that we can start working on it. The ideas that we have so far vary from one another so we do not have a clue on which one we should begin writing about. We also want to write about a topic that little kids will actually be interested in reading.
 

 

Week 1

Today was the first day in a while that we have had a day to work on our 20% project. Mr.Lee asked us how it's going and it's actually going pretty well. We have our basic ideas but all we need to to actually start writing it out. I thought of an idea but I need to talk to Alex and Valerie about it. I thought that maybe after we finish writing out the book/books we should maybe read them at a children's hospital. That way we can know if kids would actually enjoy being read our books. I am very excited to see how everything will turn out but I know that it will take a lot of work, effort, and time from all three of us. Also maybe after we finish we could also give away the books to children in need or donate them to hospitals or charities.

Week 8

Today we started discussing how we are going to start doing our 20% project. Our teacher, Mr. Lee, gave us a great idea that the three of us should all write three books but the books should all correspond with one another. I really like his idea because since we all have different ideas on what we should write, we would have a chance to write whatever we want but still get our ideas on paper. Alex, Valerie, and I all agree that we should write our own individual books but we are not 100% positive on what we will write about.

Week 6

So far my group and I kind of have a solid idea for our 20% project. We are currently working on a presentation that we have to present to the class next week on Thursday. The presentation is going pretty good.The only thing that is bothering me is that we need to have to physically start working on the book but we can't work on anything until we have an idea.

Week 5

Today Mr.Lee told the class about a presentation we will have to give on November 20.Basically what the presentation will be about is our group telling the class what our 20% project will be about.Alex and I began working on the presentation and we have an idea on what we will be presenting.We still haven't started writing our story but we already know what we will be writing about.

Week 3

Today in my English class we are working again on the 20% project.Valerie and I couldn't really work on it because our third group member Alex was not here.We are still trying to figure out if we will write a children's book or a collection of short stories.For me personally I am fine with either idea but we all need to agree on what we are working on.I think that we will all have to compromise our ideas and pick what will be best for the group.We were thinking of writing a book like the Junie B. Jones series but we are still trying to figure everything out.
