Today we started discussing how we are going to start doing our 20% project. Our teacher, Mr. Lee, gave us a great idea that the three of us should all write three books but the books should all correspond with one another. I really like his idea because since we all have different ideas on what we should write, we would have a chance to write whatever we want but still get our ideas on paper. Alex, Valerie, and I all agree that we should write our own individual books but we are not 100% positive on what we will write about.
So far my group and I kind of have a solid idea for our 20% project. We are currently working on a presentation that we have to present to the class next week on Thursday. The presentation is going pretty good.The only thing that is bothering me is that we need to have to physically start working on the book but we can't work on anything until we have an idea.
Today Mr.Lee told the class about a presentation we will have to give on November 20.Basically what the presentation will be about is our group telling the class what our 20% project will be about.Alex and I began working on the presentation and we have an idea on what we will be presenting.We still haven't started writing our story but we already know what we will be writing about.
Today in my English class we are working again on the 20% project.Valerie and I couldn't really work on it because our third group member Alex was not here.We are still trying to figure out if we will write a children's book or a collection of short stories.For me personally I am fine with either idea but we all need to agree on what we are working on.I think that we will all have to compromise our ideas and pick what will be best for the group.We were thinking of writing a book like the Junie B. Jones series but we are still trying to figure everything out.
This past Wednesday we worked on the 20% project in my English class. My group and I began to brainstorm ideas on how the book should be written. We decided that we needed to read a couple of children's books to get a better understanding. We then went to the schools library when one group member said she didn't want to write a children's book instead she wanted to write a book for teens. After some disscussion we agreed that instead we should write a collection of short stories to a bigger age group.
Last Wednesday,September 18,2013,my group and I began working on our 20% project. The project is to come up with something that can help better other people's lives. My group consists of Alex, Valerie, and myself. We have come up with the idea of writing a children's book. Alex will be the one to draw the pictures and Valerie and I will write the story. So far we know that the story will be about respect. We don't really know yet if we are actually publish the book to real publisher. For sure we are working in class every Wednesday but we don't have a planned out plan of when we will work on the story outside of class. My group and I will also need to decide if we are writing a series of books or just one. I am pretty excited to see how we are going to pull this off. It will be really cool to see little kids read our book and actually learn something from it.
